Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MealsMind mobile application (package com.mealsmind.app) and website at https://mealsmind.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by MealsMind ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use MealsMind. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not intended for children under 13.
2. Account Registration and Security
- You may register with email and password, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple (where available).
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at info@mealsmind.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person may not maintain multiple accounts to evade free-tier limits or abuse the Service.
3. Description of the Service
MealsMind is a smart kitchen assistant that helps you manage pantry ingredients, generate AI recipe suggestions, plan meals, maintain shopping lists, and (for Premium users) access community features. Features may change, be added, or removed over time.
4. Free and Premium Plans
4.1 Free tier
Free accounts currently include, among other features:
- Up to 5 pantry ingredients saved at a time.
- Up to 3 AI recipe generations per day (including regenerations counted toward the daily limit, as implemented in the app).
- Core pantry, recipe, and planning features subject to these limits.
We may adjust free-tier limits with reasonable notice where practicable.
4.2 Premium subscription
Premium unlocks additional features, which may include:
- Unlimited pantry ingredients.
- Unlimited AI recipe generation (subject to fair use and abuse prevention).
- Meal-plan AI fill, nutrition summaries, recipe images, and community access.
- Other features labeled Premium in the app.
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free Trial
- Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, processed via RevenueCat.
- Prices, billing period (e.g. monthly), and any free trial (e.g. 7 days) are shown in the app and store checkout before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play or Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the MealsMind app does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled according to the policies of Google or Apple, not directly by MealsMind. Contact the respective store for billing disputes.
- We may change subscription prices or features; store rules and applicable law govern notice of price changes for renewing subscribers.
6. AI-Generated Content
- Recipes, ingredient lists, instructions, and nutrition estimates are generated by artificial intelligence and are suggestions only.
- AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your allergies, medical conditions, religious dietary rules, or safety requirements.
- Always verify ingredients, cooking temperatures, times, and food safety before preparing or consuming food.
- MealsMind is not a medical, nutritional, or dietary professional service. Consult qualified professionals for health-related decisions.
- You use AI features at your own risk. We do not guarantee that AI content is error-free or appropriate for any purpose.
7. Health and Food Safety
You are solely responsible for checking expiration dates, allergens, cross-contamination, and safe food handling. MealsMind is not liable for illness, injury, or damage resulting from following app content or ignoring food safety.
8. User Content and Community
- If you post recipes or other content to the community, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
- You grant MealsMind a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the Service for as long as it remains posted.
- You may remove your content where the app provides that option. Other users may have already viewed or saved references to public posts.
- We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where necessary.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or models except as allowed by law.
- Upload malware, spam, hate speech, harassment, or sexually explicit material.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Automate requests, overload servers, or circumvent rate limits or paywalls.
- Collect other users' personal data without consent.
- Use the Service to develop competing products through unauthorized access to our systems.
10. Intellectual Property
The MealsMind name, logo, app design, software, and documentation are owned by MealsMind or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks except as needed to use the Service. User-generated content remains yours subject to the license in Section 8.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEALSMIND AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MealsMind from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
15. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via Settings or our Delete Account page.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or where required by law.
- Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive termination.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page with a new date. Material changes may be communicated through the app or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires your explicit consent.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey, unless mandatory law requires a different forum for consumers in the EU or other jurisdictions.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at info@mealsmind.com to attempt informal resolution within 30 days.
18. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
